Hi,

I finally I got a G91 for spare parts, took out the buttons (see my post from earlier). I want to replace the front board from a G02 (it is a GDISP 023) with the one from the G91 (GDISP 025).
Is there anybody out there who did something similar?

Next thing which is worrying me, somebody (Meridian Dealer) told me that there is a pin in the volume knob. If you do not secure it (no clue how) you will never get it in again.

Can somebody please advice me, before I do a fatal mistake?

Best regards,
Andreas

Just pull the volume knob straight off. The cover may come off and then you glue it back on. No pin, there's a nut behind it.

Hi,

There must be a way they put it on. So is there any way to remove the knob without destroying it?

At the end will the replacement work, it looks like the same but no clue?

Best regards,
Andreas

Just pull it straight off. You won't damage it.

Hi.

I found the time to do this. The new one is from a G91, which I use for spare parts.
Well it worked fine, but still have a question. If you power it up it is at the volume 65.
Is there any way to change that to about 35?

I have a very complex system with a DVDO so sometimes there is a spike in the audio signal. Bad, but I can not change it.

Best regards,
Andreas

P.S. There is a very wired part of metal inside the volume knob. It looks like a "spindel", totally rubbish.
Had to use a "Dremel" to put it on again.

Some Meridian kit had the option in the configuration program to set the startup volume. I can't find that option in the G02 config, so I don't think it is possible.

You may need to start the source first and then turn on the G02 or put the G02 into mute before swapping sources.

Cheers,

Steve
