Hi guys...

This morning (no one has idea why) my surround left DSP5000 decided to wake up in Test Mode showing on the display a L1 65 note and stopping to obey to the system rules.
It has the red LED switched on but it is not a master.

I am desperately trying to have it back in line but it don't care of me at all.
Any suggestion?

Thanks a bunch,
Mauro

Have you tried to exit test mode using the commands on pages 58 and 59 in the manual?

Hi,

A retype will fix this, once you have retyped it resets the configuration in the EEPROM and puts it back to normal.

This was a fault we saw a few times over the years.

Ciao Gianni and THANKS for the answer

You mean keeping CLEAR pressed and switch the speaker on?
Yes. It looks the speaker 'senses' the command since it does not light up the display until I release the key... but at the end it remains in Test mode.

Hi Edd,

Sorry for my ignorance but... what is a retype?

ops... maybe redefining the TYPE... grin

Do you remember what TYPE I must use for a system managed by a G68?
I assembled the system a geological era ago...

Grazie!
Mauro

Nope press 6 when switching the mains power on (as if you are setting up the speaker) Page 32 of the manual.

You may need to select Type 1 first and then reboot the speaker and then retype to 6.

Edd,

THANK YOU!!

I Typed 6, defined it as Slave and switched it OFF and then ON again... and all works again like Magic! smile
It's obeying again to the G68 directions and all looks back to normal!

This forum is incredible... we are speaking about electronics from the 90's and I had a lightning help almost impossible to achieve for a modern electronic device!

Thanks again... smile ... and STAY HOME.

Mauro
