Of course not! With my usual unerring sense of timing, it was in for a Cirkus and Serene Platform kit and Hercules II some weeks ago. Dealer let me know it was ready to pick up the day before the Karousel was announced. Aaargh. Oh well, worse things happen at sea (especially if you're on one of those appalling blocks of flats in quarantine after visiting China). PS now moved onto a bit of pre-dinner Oscar Peterson. Never heard the piano, drum attack and bass warmth quite like it. Wonderful.

Apparently the new bearing can’t be fitted to decks with a Valhalla / Hercules board; the increased diameter means it could foul on the PCB.
£750 for a bearing is a bit of a stretch. I stopped the LP12 upgrades before the Cirkus came out and if I was inclined to bring it up to date, I’d probably look at a whole different deck.
Are you sticking with the Basik Plus and K9?
ATB,
Steve

@Steve. Great to hear a rationale why it wouldn't have fitted anyway. Thanks Yes, that's it. Oh, new AT stylus (VMN95 ML micro linear profile) for the K9. The Paratrace was well recommended but my budget disappeared before the recaps were finished I'm very pleased with the upgrades so far (555, bi-wiring, better interconnects/mains blocks, gliders) but the saga will end for me with the Stands Unique and Linn upgrades. Time to stop packing stuff up and start listening

The lockdown has meant that the last few bits of my system ugrade are a bit stalled. I need the Stands Unique back from the workshop to have space for the media server / Director and then insert the new cables and a few other tweaks. That said, I still can't believe how good it sounds now after the new 555, full recap/service from Mr Tech Guy and the (sssh) ugrade / service to the Linn LP12. I find myself stopping and actually listening to the music. Bits of which I have never heard before. Last night it was Oscar Peterson (Night Train). Right now it's Help (I started through the entire Beatles catalogue a few days ago). There's a whole new musicality and transparency letting me hear sublety and things in the mix new to me. Such fun There's many a good tune played on an old fiddle, as they say. Not bad for an analogue / passive system from the 80s / 90s (yes, OK the CD is digital as is the media server but you get what I mean)
