Has anyone replaced the drive in their 800; and if so, what drive did you use? I'm sure the information is here somewhere, but I could not find it easily. Want to keep a spare on hand just in case. Thanks in advance.

Yes, and I will have some in stock this week. These are new, correct drives and not the questionable units available elsewhere online.

Depends on the generation of your unit. Some used DSL-710A and some used DSL-720A

Am I right in saying that the 808 drive is no longer available?

I’d contact Bruce (see above) certainly finding a drive for much of the Meridian disc players in the UK is a problem now. If Bruce has a supply he might find he has a lot of new best friends.
