Hi,

Yesterday, I installed a Dvdo Iscan Mini 4k from a friend a mine to test it on my installation.
I put it after the HDMI output of my HD621.

After 15 minutes of testing, the Iscan menus were no longer accessible from its remote and the G68 relays started clicking. Also the G68 has shutdown and started again.
On the screen, it was like seeing a image with only 256 colors.

I have checked the player, the projector, the HDMI cables, everything is fine.
Using the G68 with my CD player and without the HD621, no sound issue.

This is why I think my HD621 has a problem.

Has someone seen a problem like this?

Serge.

New tests yesterday.

In fact, I have two problems:

- The HD621 display a 256 colors image when processing 1080p video signal and 5.1 signal.
With a less complex signal, the colors are ok.

- The G68 run fine only the 10 first minutes. Once warm-up, he don't stop re-starting.

Can it be the result of a faulty power supply? (it's more than 10 years old.)
What skill is needed to replace the power supply and where to find one?

Serge

It sounds like the G68 power supply may be close to failing. I would not continue using it until the unit is serviced. Replacing the power supply is an easy task. They are cheap and easily sourced from Farnell. However, I would caution against replacing the power supply only. There are a number of capacitors that should be replaced while the case is open.

From what I read here, it seems the ECM60UT31 is a good replacement power supply.
