Hi,

I purchased used DSP5200.2 about 7 months ago. Any ideas where to get the lastest 3.16 firmware for my speakers?

Well, i try to start another attempt:

I purchased used DSP5200 (SpeakerLink) about 7 Months ago. Pressing the "Display" on the RC the Display shows "1.3". I think this a very old Firmware.

My Problem: I'm not able to download the latest firmware from the Meridian Homepage. I already bought a Cisco 1200 Platform Cable and a UGREEN USB to RS232 Converter, also installed the Meridian "Flash Upload Program" on my Notebook.

Which Firmware would be suitable?
On the Meridian Page v2.63 is the latest Version. Or is it possible to install the newer 3.16 Version with MQA-Support?

I would be grateful if anyone can help me to get a newer firmware for my speakers.

First of all you need to determine if your speakers are truly DSP5200.2 as recognized by Meridian or are just the SpeakerLink version. There is a big difference.

If it does not report DSP5200.2 on the front display when powering up from the back panel switch, do not load v3.16 firmware.

If your speakers are the SpeakerLink version, v2.63 is the appropriate firmware.

I think that with your speakers reporting 1.3 firmware, they are 5200 SpeakerLink versions.

If it doesn't bother: What are the main differences between the 5200SL and the 5200.2 Version? Has the later one updated DSP-Boards?

Hi,

So, the current status:

It seems the Meridian Program (Flash Uploader) can't be connect to the speakers

I also have the Center Speaker DSP5200SL: For this speaker I could trigger the "fetch data" and I get a correct respone from the device (speaker).

Any ideas why the the speakers don't response?

If the connection works for one speaker but not the other then make sure you have connected to the Master SL connector, if that is ok try slowing down the speed in the FUP settings.
