I would like to know where the following Meridian devices have the phase mark. Since there is no label and I can not measure it
I'd be grateful for accurate information on the following devices: Meridian DSP7200.1, 218,
MS600 + MD600

Plead ignorance. What’s a phase mark?

With phasing of hi-fi devices is meant determining the correct plug position. The polarity of the wall socket is determined by the electrician, by different plugging the power plug changes the power supply polarity of the hi-fi component.
The right position is also the best sound and i don´t know the right position

Polarity implies direction. This is applicable to DC where you have current flowing in one direction only indicated by the + and - electrodes.
Mains electricity is, of course, AC, and as such has no polarity, only the hot and cold side. Transformers really don't care about that since current flows one way then the opposite way and back again repeatedly. Many hifi devices have figure 8 power cords which can be connected either way. I struggle to believe that connecting hifi equipment one way or the other to a wall socket will make any difference.

In the UK, we have a three-pin plug (Live, Neutral, Earth) so there is not variation available.

Swapping figure-of-8 plugs around in search of the perfect phase was a big thing about 20 years ago IIRC - started by Audiofile magazine.

You can of course change the phase using the MSR on e.g. the 818v3. Not sure how it would work with a 218.

It is not the same to change phase in audiostream vs switching line and neutral cable in an ac connector.

I usually just go for detecting line with screwdriver lightpen and it should be the right pin off the IEC connector when looking straight at it and neutral is topside. Talking about cable and not the Meridian electronics IEC inlet.

Thank you but that doesn’t help. Nobody knows the right phase of the Meridian devices I asked for?

Assuming you mean a two pin power supply cord I don’t think it matters. If it did, you couldn’t plug it the wrong way.

The output of the power supply will be DC and the correct DC by design.

If you doubt this, just try either way and decide what sounds best.

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Isn't that your answer - it's the position that sounds best?

I cannot see why that would be different but I will take your word for it.

For instruments like a violin for example, the waveforms aren’t symmetrical and some can hear the difference in absolute phase.

Even the difference between up and down bowing.
