Hi, Do you use Surround on the side surround and back suround speakers in Trified mode? If yes, then do you use the cutoff high frequencies (1khz/ 3kHz/ 7kHz) option in this mode? Which one and with what benefit? I can imagine cutting off, at 3kHz for example, help keeping frontal presentation not sacrifying envellope, and decrease whistling and front /rear instability? Just my thoughts, right or wrong i don't know, that's why your experience is welcome please!

i have only rear surrounds and leave them full range to further enhance the Trifield feeling.

I think high freq attenuations are there because they are easier to localize, so attenuating won't make us think the sound is originating from the speakers.
