A search of the forum using the above subject as the search term has returned nothing.

I have a couple of TwinStores and would like to use them for Roon. I believe TwinStores are essentially just a tailored Windows computer with storage and so it should be possible (and necessary now that Meridian have abandoned Sooloos) to modify the software that is automatically loaded on start-up with appropriate replacement software that can speak Roon. It might be a bit fiddly and require non-standard expertise, but has anyone done this?

By the way, I am not concerned about the longevity of my TwinStores, even though they use a specially tailored motherboard, because they can be repaired if one is prepared to engage in component level diagnosis and replacement (though hot air work tools might be needed).

+ 1 - although in my case it's a MD600 I would like to repurpose for Roon.

if you are using Mac, go to Finder- Go - Connect to server. Write "smb://the IP address/ (TwinStores IP)
Open Roon, storage , add Folder - add Netork share - point it to your smb on your Mac, if you have username and password fill it out.
This is what worked for me.
