Vorticity - feel free to rant... I find this messing about with a service irksome. At least MP3 is generally free (or with ads) so I dont expect a service level or highest audio quality, so never disappointed. As far as I know you cant buy fullest fat MQA as a download or disc so streaming it is the only answer. Back to vinyl for true analogue.

You can buy MQA files or physical media, it's just the catalogue seems slim compared to Tidal's offering. It isn't a fault of the format that streaming services alter their catalogues, it's a problem with the streaming model. I would very much like availability of much more MQA recordings to actually buy and own to circumvent this.

Personally, it was when I heard MQA through 808.6 and 5200SE that I abandoned vinyl - for the first time, digital replay sounded closer to the real performance, to my ears. Vinyl can sound very pleasant indeed, and more pleasing than a great deal of digital, but it has its own shortcomings. MQA is the best of both worlds, in my opinion.
