Hi,

My DSP7200.2s are out of phase with each other.

In their previous room it wasn't very obvious because it was a bright acoustic and that masked the problem but now they are in a purpose built acoustically treated room and the problem is so pronounced that I can't listen to the system at all it's so unpleasant. The absolute phase function has no effect and short of taking out the drive units and checking the wiring I'm stumped.

Any ideas folks?

I had this myself once as well. I can't remember it fully but I think it has to do with type settings.
I suggest you retype your system settings again.
Let us know how you get on.

Cheers!

Not possible if they are running the same firmware and are connected correctly, I.E. one controlling the other one.

If you are hearing the speakers as out of phase it will be a room issue. Or if connected to a surround controller the phase can be flipped per channel (to resolve room issues...)

I have come across this before.

The issue was one speaker had EBA enabled, the other didn't.

The effect was like an analogue system being out of phase.

Just try and check the EBA status on both DSPs.

Cheers,
Ian

I experienced this when I first got my 7200.2s. EBA on in one speaker but not the other. However, it turned out the cause was mismatched firmware. Try updating that and then retyping, etc.
