Dear ppl,

After using it for 4 years I have replaced my MC200 with a headless Apple Mac Mini (late 2012, 2.3GHz i7 quad core) with two SSD’s running Roon. I ripped my CD collection again and everything is up and running fine. Now I want to put my MC200 out of service and sell it or give it to my dad.

I have tried using ‘Bulk Delete -> Delete All Albums’ (available on the ‘Settings’ tab in Control:Mac) but that doesnt delete everything; there are still 26 artists in the MC200 Library according to the ‘Information’ page of Control:Mac, even though these arent visible in neither the Sooloos nor Control:Mac application.

Is there a way to reset the MC200 back to the Manufacturer Defaults and delete all the content left on the disk?

Edwin

Hi Edwin,

There's no 'factory reset' for the MC200.

Set the MC200 off doing a 'Bulk Delete' again.
Leave it for an hour or so to completely flush out all the Artists.
Then power it down and back on again with its rocker switch.
See if that's helped delete those last artists.

Thanks Rick,

I tried your method but there are still 26 artists present according to the 'Library Statistics' in Control:Mac. 'System Statistics' lists only 920GB of a total of 983GB being 'Free'.

Puzzled!

Thanks anyway for your suggestion Rick,

Edwin

Leave it switched on and idle for several days then recheck.

I had similar when I bought a second hand one and it still had a few artists on it, funnily it was also about 26. I retried bulk delete several times and it never fully cleared them (it’s been a while so I cannot remember if it ever reduced the number or not to be honest). There were no albums under the names, from memory, so in the end I gave up and lived with it. They were common enough artists and they may just have been overwritten by new albums installed.

Thanks for your reply Richard.

There are no albums listed under the 26 artists still present on my MC200 either. Guess the new owner has to live with that.

I contacted Meridian Support last week re. this issue but haven't received a reply yet. If I get a response with a solution I will post it here.

Thanks again,

Edwin

Hi Edwin,

There are ways to sort this PM me and I can tell you how.

It is not for the forum, but I used to have to sort this sort of thing when I worked on Meridian Support.

Regards
Edd
