I'm wondering if it is possible to have two subs (running as stereo) and also use side channels on the G68ADV.

Looking at the manual, the only option I can see is to use the side channels as sub channels?

I'm thinking about skipping the active crossover between the main fronts and the two bass modules and use the internal crossover in the G68.
Does anyone know how steep the internal filter is .. the active crossover use a 30 dB.

The manual also mentions that currently the G68 is only using 8 of 12 channels?

Keep an eye out for the next version of the config software. It is likely to more clearly illustrate the effects of the bass management settings [Linked Image from softronix.com]

I just got the following back from M support:

In a 7.1 system you cannot use a stereo set of subs as you can only run up to 8 channels in the G68 and 861 however in a 5.1 system you can run stereo subs(uses the side channel output connectors).

the G only uses 8 channels but has the ability in future to use up to 12, but at the moment we do not have any plans for this.

I put in the following feature request;

If you have 3 channels to spare, I strongly recommend you dedicate one to a another sub.
This way you can use the 2 sub / 2 main as an active crossover in the digital domain, this is usually a HUGE improvement for the sound quality in any system .. you should know as your digital speakers are driven this way internally. The crossover has to be very steep though .. 30 dB/octave+ .

Please include this as a Feature Request for coming upgrades to the G68!
Everything is in there except for the extra sub channel.
