Any thoughts on the possibility of a software update for the Meridian Prime, so that current users can have the full benefit of experiencing 352,8 kHz material (which is now limited to 192kHz)?

Hi Niek,
Unfortunately the Prime is not a Zone / MQA Endpoint as such. IMO it should have been.
Today, Meridian probably want you to buy a 218 + Sooloos Core device and use analogue out to the Prime. However, not using USB there is no way I can see how to prove I am getting 352k to my Prime from say (fully rendered MQA) analogue out from my 808v6. This set up sounds amazing though and I would expect the 218 analogue out to be just as good as, or very close to the 808v6 AO. Above are assumptions and I have asked a Meridian Dealer to contact M for more details on this subject.
Regards Hector
