Okay, one of my 218s slave is not connecting to the speaker at the moment. However, it works when I connect the slave output from the master speaker.

I have 3 x 218s and MC200 core, running - a pair of 8000SE, 5200SE plus DSW, and a 5200 connected to control4 and also have a Roon Core.

I have swapped the speakers around so it is the particular 218 having a problem.

Is there a way of resetting the 218? I tried to unplug it and replug it and doesn't seem to make any difference. I have checked the typing of the speakers, but they are correct and it works fine when I plug in a different 218 or running a cable from the master.

It was running fine until the tech was installing something else to the rack and has to unplug the SpeakerLink and accidentally swapped some cables around.

Many thanks for your help in advance!

“Swapped some cables around” Did any stray voltage get applied by accident?
A chat with the tech who seemed to have caused the issue may be in order, failing that I assume it is under warranty so I would be returning it for replacement.

Yes, he got the speakers mixed up - two masters on one and two slaves on another, when I found out one of the speaker wasn't working.

The strange thing is that the third 218, which was connected to only one master and the slave runs from the master, where the slaves was working and the master was not.

Once I have fixed the cables around and cold started the speakers one of the 218 slaves no longer works. I don't think they would be applying any strange voltage though, he was just hooking up some amps and in ceilings.

So, there is sound playing through the speaker if it is already on. However, there's no control from remotes - ie; it doesn't turned on and no volume control.
