I can buy BNC to BNC cables type 75 ohm, 20m

BNC kabel,
Type: RG58 - 50 Ohm,
Aansluiting 1: BNC Male,
Aansluiting 2: BNC Male,
20 meter.

Will this work as com cable between 2 DSP5200 speakers?

It will work but so will RG6. RG59 is the correct cable for the application.

Any custom install shop should be able to make it to the length you need in about ten minutes.

For comms it doesn't matter, refer to M (no specs posted).

For audio is 75 ohms, follow Bruce post and look a the wiki.

What are they doing for the other 9 minutes?

BNC cables are dead easy to make. You can get twist on BNC connectors which take about 10 seconds to terminate once you have done a couple. We used them all the time when making custom cables in live HD OB sports applications so certainly up for the job of comms.

For the other 9 minutes they are using professional quality connectors.

Professional = "paid for the job" - it's not a indication of quality.

If the broadcast industry uses twist on connectors for HD-SDI video, I can assure anyone wanting to make their own with these that there will be no issue using them for a Meridian comms connection, nor (in Outside Broadcast world cabling is often abused or pushed to the limit), any issue regarding robustness...

You have stated your opinion, here is mine on this subject. A cheap twist on connector has no business being installed in a Meridian system. Kind of like drinking fine wine out of a paper cup.

I used professional in the context of anyone doing quality work who cares about their reputation in the custom installation business does not use twist on connectors. You may have had great luck with your SDI cables.

Those of us who do this for a living have collectively changed out thousands of twist on connectors. I know I have changed out hundreds in the last twenty years. That I suggested he go to a custom install shop and get a cable made to length should ensure that the original poster would get a cable with quality connectors that would be tested before he left the shop. I would consider that good advice.

This forum has many threads on the subject of comms cables and users being frustrated with them. Suggesting that the OP use twist on BNC connectors that are easy to put on after you have done a few, is in my opinion not the best advice.

I have decided to buy 2 complete BNC connector cables (length 20m & 10m). (price < 25 euro).

As this is only for COMMS, I hope buying a cable with a BNC connector already on the cable will prevent earlier mentioned issues.

Guys I am dutch, so price is always an issue
With a (very) limited budget I try to get the nicest Meridian setup possible.

Make sure you buy a cable with 75 ohm BNC connectors. There is a 50 ohm version and the center pin is thicker and will break the 75 ohm female connection on your components. I see a ton of 75 ohm wires with 50 ohm connectors on them on the market.
