Wonder what the future upgradeability looks like for the 218 now that Sooloos is being discontinued.

The 210 supports RAAT.

The 218 works perfectly with Roon, it’s just not RAAT. I hope there is an upgrade though to make zone syncing better.

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Given that the 210 has switched to RAAT we are at the mercy of Roon to support to be legacy Sooloos. I used Roon with the 218 and works great. Just a bit of bummer if these newly purchased units have dated technology already.

I wonder what they have updated on the 0.7 hardware, if anything?

The Sooloos firmware was distributed via a Sooloos version update or by running Sooloos config, I assume there will be a different way of distributing it in the future, who knows it might even be downloadable wink

The phenomenon is caused by Meridian's all-new and secret 'regression' chip whistle

Thanks for the laugh, for the record:

I'm new to Meridian and the forum so if you think there's someone looking over your shoulder it's probably just me catchin' up.

The latest/current firmware is 1.1, build 218 according to my M tech. I was checking in as I'm waiting to take delivery in the next week or so.
