Hi,
I’ve installed DSP3200s + DSP3300 and a DSW for an everyday TV setup. These are from a dealer and were used as demos. Two problems with which I was hoping someone might help.
The speakers are direct run to a G65.
1. Popping-During MRC one (and only one) of the DSP3200s pops and crackles even when other speakers are getting tested. I’ve changed the power cable and also the SpeakerLink cable. It still happens. Also during a program when the source is TV or Amazon Fire TV (the only sources), every once in a while there will be a pop but not as loud or frequent as when doing MRC.
2. SNR during MRC-I cannot get a sufficient SNR on the DSW during MRC. All other speakers are ok. I’ve tried new batteries on my RS mic. I’ve tried different cables for the mic. I’ve moved the mic around the room including to within about 1 ft of the DSW. I’ve pointed the mic at the DSW. I’ve tried changing the sensitivity of the mic from M config. Nothing works. When doing speaker calibration the DSW is a few dBs below other speakers but there is no option to adjust trim.
Thanks for any suggestions or ideas.

For 1, there is a firmware upgrade. It was done at HQ for me at the time, that was a few years ago now. Might still need an HQ visit to fix that.
For 2, is your RS mic an SPL meter? If so, try 80 or even 70dB scale. Otherwise you can set the input sensitivity in the M config application. In the Room Correction area, click the 'Options' button and set Sensitivity to 1.0v or even lower.

My dealer was using these as demo so I assume that he had the latest firmware.
Yes it is RS SPL digital. I tried all ranges including 90 and 100. No luck. I also changed the sensitivity in M config. Didn’t help.
Thanks.

Hi, Just a follow up on this in case anyone is interested: The popping from the DSP3200 turned out to be a bad board. After various tests my dealer sent me a replacement and that sorted the problem.
