Thought I would replace my old remote with a new one I had and it is chewing through the battery life overnight.
Any ideas guys what’s happening?

Is it possible that you have a button that is sticking on thus draining the battery.

To check for a sticky button, take a cell phone camera and point it at the front of the remote. You will see the IR flasher with the camera. If you see no flash, then you don't have a sticky button (at this moment) You will see the flash when you press a button. Keep checking from time to time to see of you indeed have a sticky button.

Mine does the same I just take the battery's out, but I will now look for sticky buttons
