Hi,
I'm looking for some help. My 800v4 has been playing up lately. Sometimes it has taken quite a time to respond, & I have had to turn off the power switch & then turn it back on before anything would happen. Other times it has worked perfectly.
Today it will not power up at all. The fuses are OK. No lights come on at all. Everything else in the systems works fine.
Any help / advice troubleshooting would help.

Sounds as if you have had a power supply failure. They are pretty cheap and easy to replace with some basic hand tools. It is well documented in the forums.

Sounds like it could be a power supply issue.
A quick search using the Google link at the top of the page will find many threads about 800 series power supplies.
If you are willing/capable, I would take the lid off and check the outputs of the power supply as a start.
If it is the PSU and it has completely failed it may take other components with it (capacitors from memory).
Not that big or expensive a job.

Thanks both for your responses. I have looked at the discussions in the forums for the 800D v4 PSU, but I cannot see where to buy or what the part code / manufacturer's are.
Can anyone give me a lead so I can purchase a replacement in the UK?

It is a XP power supply part number ECM4OUT31. They are available from Farnell in the UK.

PSU received from Farnell yesterday. Installed & the 800D is sounding beautiful.
