CEDIA will preview the Meridian 210 streamer, designed to bring Bluetooth, Airplay and Spotify Connect to Meridian products!! Shame the 210 doesn't seem to support RAAT as well.
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Shame they couldn't just roll it up into the 218 as a single network endpoint.

What exactly is meant by "streamer". And how do they integrate those services.
Is this an MC200 replacement with those services added to the Sooloos backend?
All will become clear later, I guess.

I too hope RAAT is supported. I've never managed to get my ID40 + ID41 to play fair with both Sooloos and Roon.

Looks like I jumped a week too early when I bought the rBlink for my son's DSP5000s last week, unless of course the 210 has no SPDIF connection.

Hi Ludwig, I'm hoping this is a simple Bluetooth link to Meridian speakers that will handle music files and streaming services from phones, laptops etc. My (young adult) children only listen to music from their phone/laptop and moan at me CONSTANTLY that they can't play their playlists on my system. Hopefully this is the ideal bridge into Meridian systems and allows us oldies to help them utilise all these second hand 'retro styled' legacy actives kicking around... Mat

It looks like there was an attempt to add this via software (Control 15 software includes shairport-sync) - but I've never played with a real one to see if there is an easy way to turn it on. (I've never seen any references to it as a feature, only appears in the Control:One/Ten/Fifteen software (now obsolete), and I never had a need to use Airplay to actually test it out) Presumably the 218 per zone replaces Sooloos Core initial decode of MQA that was actually promised (feedback would be nice).

Google Caskeid.com and all may become clear. M signed an agreement for wireless technology from them a couple of years back 😀 May even deliver miltichannel hi Rez playback.
It would be a shame if the 218 can't get a software update. MQA and Meridian are listed on their website as partners. Roon is not listed. Could this be the technology which reawakens Sooloos? Could Spotify, etc. be offered along with Tidal?

Okay, so I get that they need new hardware to support Bluetooth input, but I would think that Airplay and Spotify could and should be added to their existing Sooloos products?
