I don't know what other U.S. dealers are doing, but Grammophone has a special on the Meridian Prime Heaphone Amp and Power Supply. They're selling the pair for $1249.
That's a pretty incredible deal. If I didn't already have two of each, I'd jump on it.
Perhaps this is a sign that Meridian is dicontinuing these models. Maybe we'll get a Prime 2.0 with DSD decoding capability. More likely, Meridian is simply going to scrap yet another affordable component in order to focus more on the high end.

"including low-jitter clocking, upsampling, apodising and full support for MQA"
add $75 for a RasPi3 Roonbridge endpoint and you have a great headphone listening spot with Roon integration.
I like my Prime Headphone amp ... agree about uncertainty of future product development.

Roon bridge and Ras Pi is a great looking solution - shame that Sooloos is not Roon compliant.
Out of curiosity, is anyone powering their Pi from the Prime PSU - on paper, it looks like it shouldn't work (Prime PSU under powered), but in practice?

Many thanks Dolstein,
Have bought the pair to carry to work with me and listen to Tidal while working.
Great bargain. Given the pricing of the Prime Headphone Amplifier at $999, it was a no-brainer to shell out another $250 for the Prime Power Supply.
MQA Masters while working here we come !
Cheers,
Steve M

That price has me tempted again into exploring a good headphone set-up before the A16 Smyth turns up...
Would I need anything other than using my PC as a local zone, controlled via Control:PC to get the best non-MQA music via USB experience from the Prime combo?
I struggled when testing my PC with the Chord Mojo to get anything other than 44khz out by USB despite having some recordings in my Sooloos library at 24/192. A quick search of the forum and I couldn't find a clear answer on what the local zone playback actually does (if anything) to the FLAC source files stored in my C15.
I fear the combo would be a waste if the local zone was only spitting out compressed 44khz. I realise I could go down the tidal route but I like my very basic Sooloos setup and am not keen on subscription services for music.
I would be using it with a Surface Pro if that makes a difference - and probably via the surface dock which could throw an extra complication into the mix... Anyone running their's in this way?
Cheers Simon

I've taken it as a sign now my C15 power brick has died that even at this great price M is not the way to go for me right now. Rotten luck to have my G61R go, then to re-wire everything back to 2 channel only for my C15 to go in the same month . Feeling quietly sad.

Luckily the C15 power supplies are pretty cheap and available.

The Sooloos power supply is wired differently to the readily available supply. CHeck the wiki for details.
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.
Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

The Sooloos power supply comment was directed at getting the C15 back up and running.
