Guys !
I need some help ! I am trying to connect Sonos ( or a Meridian 800) to the DSP8000.1 I just acquired, I am able to get the LEFT Master to work no problem however I used SPDIF cable from LEFT digital out -> RIGHT digital in no.1 and configured right channel to be RIGHT/ SLAVE, TYPE 5 , but still no luck,, can anyone guide me to the right direction thank you !

You also need to connect the COMMS cable between the two. Simply connecting CoAx will not suffice.

If you don't have a COMMs cable you can temprarily cheat by making a Left Master and a Right Master and shoot the remote at BOTH speakers. You don't want to continue running this way in the long run, but if you just want to quickly get things up to try it out and test out until you do have cables, this will work. Make sure your Volume stays in Sync between the two speakers. You might have to cover one speaker receiver while shooting at the other to sync them up

With Sonos, you only need the to use the slave cable connecting both audio and comms between the two DSP8000's.
No need for the master cable, a standard digital audio coax of a convenient length, or, the audio part of the master cable. It doesn't matter if the comms side of master is connected, but it will not be doing anything.
However, if you do want to use another piece of Meridian equipment, such as a 800 spinner, then you will need to connect both audio and comms.
