Meridian & MQA at Bristol 2017

Pity this wasn't announced a bit earlier...but it looks like I will have to go.

Thanks AndyJi.

That is an intriguing combination given where we are in the post-Bob, post-MQA silence...

Great to see the DSP5000 legacy (MQA compatible?) inspired products from Dali.

Is the M derived electronics package offered, backwards compatible with M legacy 5K's.

Are the SEs the last Meridian DSP loudspeakers?

I think you will find that Meridian used Dali speakers when the Ultra DAC was first announced and demonstrated.

Meridian have always been late in giving details of their Bristol appearances. They and MQA are still not listed on the official site as brands with confirmed appearances. However, looking at the Dali entry, that confirms the information given above.

So Meridian will be there secretly and by stealth? Perhaps they will make an announcement of their own.

Ludwig

Interesting question, not sure if they will be the last DSP, but the last domestic DSP quite possibly? By the way the picture in AndyJi's post is of the Dali Spektors not the Epicon 6's. More confusing marketing of Meridian.

With the new power amp, why not an analogue speaker? They know how to make cabinets...

Seems the Meridian/Dali affair has been going on for a while...
