I did try the QTS 4.3.2 Beta and it messed up my system. I spend 2 days try to figure out what the problem was. The Sooloos StoreQNAP folder was not available on my system any more. The only solution for me was to go back to the previous firmware 4.2.2 on my Qnap 870pro, and now the system is up and running again.
Regards George

Regarding Geoff's recent post about Meridian support advising against the QNAP TS-253A or 453A but saying the 453U is fine, I am puzzled.
As far as I am aware, the only difference between the x53A and x53U series is that the U is in a 1U rackmount case. They both have the same processors and can have the same RAM (4 or 8GB). Oh, and the 453A is cheaper.
Does anyone know any different?

Hello Sailor,
I have upgraded my new TS-251+ to QTS 4.3.2.00026 Beta. Present sitrep is firmware and Operating System upgrade complete, selected apps installed and all diagnostics problems reported as sorted. This includes uPNP pass through for QNAP cloud.
There have been numerous obstacles overcome en route. The process has been an encounter with a genuine BETA version, warts and all.
Next step is to migrate a directory of FLAC files from a Synology NAS to the new QNAP. I then must get things to work running Sooloos on a PC from the NAS. Control will be via an equally new iPod Air.
Lost in the wilderness does not even come close!!!!!!
Best wishes to all for whatever the Solstice portends.

I've updated to 4.3.2 beta too but it has given me trouble. I've just received an email from QNAP advising me to downgrade to the old stable firmware. I fear that this downgrade will give me even more trouble so I'm just going to wait until 4.3.2 gets out of beta.
