I'm trying to set up an analog input to my 818v3, for the first time. The manual implies that I just have to plug it in, and then select the source with the Source button or with one of the labeled buttons on the remote.
But it doesn't work. The Source button switches only among the sources I have used, Sooloos and USB.
I assume setting up the Configuration program might help, but that's a hassle, and according to the manual it shouldn't be needed. And I can't find any configuration option on the box itself.
Suggestions?

Never mind, I fired up the config program and fixed it.
Didn't think that would be necessary, i'm thinking of less techie customers...
(The context: a musician friend brought his acoustic bass and we tested the DSP8000SEs; they did very well, illustrate the oomph of the six by 8" configuration.)

Nice, yes I would assume or hope that M is actually thinking hard about making MConfig process a simple app in the future working over IP. The ID4x are already there, should be no problem routing commands that way as effectively as through RS-232 or USB.

It usually is as simple as the manual states. But if the source button only toggles between 2 sources it looks like it was configured with MConfig earlier. If the other sources were switched off then, it will need another MConfig session to re-activate them.
