I was looking for some myself. Just spotted this video from CEDIA showing the new amp's insides.

Just pointing that out

To answer/clarify a few points...

- Meridian had a large range of other passive loudspeakers, ready for use in their demonstration rooms.

- Speak to your local dealer re.visit.

- No height speakers.

- The new range of 'passive' products from Meridian open up the doors to people who don't want DSPs. The Ultra for example - a brilliant product offered to clients who wish to upgrade from 818's in a passive system. (And gives other products, dCS, Wadia & Krell a good run for their money.

- Ooooh....8000 Ultras - now there will be an interesting product...! wink

- "Tackier Room"? sleep

- Salesman selling - heaven forbid! grin

Thanks for posting and doing Meridian's job for them.

It is a pity that all the Cedia clips are so short of information.

Well it certainly looks like it from your photo. The plasterboard joins seem highly visible and what has happened to the skirting board? Perhaps the photo gives a misleading impression.

Skirting - unsure TBH. Not really something my ear was attracted too.

The walls were treated - then covered in a 2 parts cloth - hence why you can see a line through the middle.

Did you choose the Dalis? What were the other options available.

I would also be interested to learn what music you played that so impressed you.

Thanks

Other choices were from Sonos Faber.

Music wise, I played artists/tracks I knew well:

Lucinda Williams - Born to be loved,
Allan Taylor - Kerouacs Dream,
Jose James - Do you feel,
Public Service Broadcasting - Go!
