Hello, I am going to replace the spikes on my 7200's with the Nordost Sort Fut system. • Each unit includes 8mm, 6mm, and 1/4-20 Threaded Adapters. Does anyone know what thread size Meridian has on the 7200?

I'm pretty sure it'll be one of the metric ones. My 5200's and 5000's are both metric. Haven't got 7200's so can't tell you for sure. You could try measuring the current spikes. The diameter will either be 8mm, 6mm or 1/4 inch (obviously), then to double check measure from one thread turn to the next, 8mm should be 1.25mm, 6mm should be 1mm and 1/4"-20 should be 1.27mm. Some of these dimensions are quite close but you should be able to check it with a ruler and a magnifying glass. Slight tangent but have you seen these SuperSpikes ? I've used them initially only to prevent marking the floor but was very impressed by them. Paul

The DSP7200's use M10.
As for 'upgrades' we have had good results with Stillpoints.
Cheers, Ian

Thanks Paul. I have not seen the SuperSpikes you mention but will check them out.
I was at The Show in Newport a few weeks ago and the Nordost room had some great demos of Wilson Sasha 2's with their Sort Fut. I like their concept of not isolating the speaker but instead draining the vibration out of the cabinet.
I believe Sonus Faber uses a similar technology inside their high end cabinets with a metal rod and weights that drain vibration similar to a mass damper in Formula One cars.

Thanks Ian. I appreciate the info. I will have to special order the M10 as the Sort Fut's come standard in M6 and M8. I have seen a few sites that list Meridian DSP's as using M8's so good thing I asked the forum.
