Hi All,

I have two F80's - which I love. One of them is not seeming to play any bass though. I have tried setting them up identically but am wondering if something is either damaged or I am missing something. I have gone through the Audio setup and tried changing all the locations and the Bass etc...
Is there a Subwoofer or extended Bass option?

Any helps would be grand.
Cheers
G

The bass driver is at the rear of the F80 so if you turn it around I would have thought it would quite easy to assess whether or not it's active.

Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

Thanks Cliff - It is not working that is for sure. I did what you said and can confirm there is zero bass. I am wondering if one ofthe amps has died.

I think I will send back to Meridian for a health check wink

Cheers

Hi Chris,

I also have an F80 that I love and wondered how well supported was it by Meridian when you contacted them? My distributor in Singapore is sympathetic but when we get down to specifics (like repairing the CD reader head) he's not sure about parts, where it will be repaired etc.

Grateful for your feedback.

Best /bt
