I am glad that a large music catalog holding company has finally announced that they are all in with MQA. But I have a question. Who are they going to use to put forth their MQA'd offerings?
Tidal seems to be bogged down nothing happening there. Does any one have any idea who? I have not taken out the free subscription to Tidal because there is nothing but talk and no action. So who else other than the classical music producers are going to give us mainstream music catalog?

I have mailed both Warner and Tidal for info but have yet to hear back. On Tidals contact page it automatically suggests answers to questions being posed and for MQA says that if and when they release MQA material they will make an announcement. The 'If' and 'When' statement is a little worrying IMO as it would suggest they have made no real commitment to MQA at all. It's not yet clear what the hold up is down to either, new CD releases could be MQA'd with little problems and streaming media has to be the easiest to just hit the release button on with whatever content is already available!? Im sure in the middle of all of this that there is a committee involved and as a camel is quite clearly a horse designed by a committee it doesn't bode well  T

Wouldn't Tidal need to wait until Warner releases content first? Doesn't make too much sense to start MQA with 2L content. Thoughts.

Frustrating as it is... imagine how long it takes 1000 lawyers to change a light bulb.

Would MQA/Warner necessarily wait for a deal with a streaming site to begin providing music, or could we expect to see an HDTracks style site from Warner selling MQA albums direct as well?
I'm all for the SQ of MQA but not necessarily bound to the idea of only streaming it, or subscribing to one particular streaming site.
