Based on the dimensions in the 818 specification sheets, my ancient Target racks will not accommodate an 800 series component unless it is placed on the top shelf. The height, width and depth are all too large.
What rack systems do you guys use for 800 series kit?

No special rack for us. I have placed it on top of a modern style made to measure black gloss cabinet. This is nicely integrated in our interior. Gero Cheers!

Try Atacama Equinox racks, they are modular, they can take the large 800 body and weight without problem and offer good value for money.
They are often available used for cheap money.

I currently use the Spectral Brick 1501 but considering the forthcoming HRS VXR for a more serious approach. BTW Brick 1501 is too narrow for the 8xx series to fit comfortably thus making it impossible to close the front lid. It was perfect for the G series though.

Thanks all for the public and PMed ideas.
What happened to the UK audio shelving industry? I am surprised by what is not available any more. And I am shocked by the high prices for (essentially) generic painted metal tubes and sheets of engineered lumber.
I dislike multiple spikes between layers and a leg in the middle at the back. And I dislike curvy, shiny racks and glass shelves. I really want something more traditional like the old welded or modular, but very solid, Target kit.

I think Townshend stands should fit the bill.
British, proper engineering, great looks. Only $$$$ could stand between you & rack nirvana.

The Middle Atlantic range of options now even includes some items that might be considered semi-acceptable on the WAF-o-meter. I tried to buy Middle Atlantic but it proved impossible to get the German dealers to sell to me. They just wanted to sell to installation people. Ridiculous.

Penn-Elcom 19" rack. I could be persuaded to let my unused 28U one go for a snip! (see Restaurant).

![[Linked Image from audiofederation.com]](http://audiofederation.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/IMG_2868.jpg) How about the Harmonic Resolution Systems RXR veenered rack. Has some options for both shelves and color. Pretty neat and extremely well performing if you want something that push the envelope a bit. HRS -Harmonic Resolution Systems RXR veenered rack

I'm using Apollo Mezzo Soprano AV (1000mm wide). Plenty of options for heights. Very expensive new; dead cheap second hand once people realise that local pick-up is the only option, massively restricting their possible buyers. You can easily fit a 5K centre on a shelf too, with the right set of legs.

But I don't think you'll fit a 5500 centre!
