After some deliberating, and a recommendation from HH I decided to give one a go as I needed to free up an optical in. I must admit I wasn't expecting much, however just running iTunes from a Mac mini on my system and there is a significant and positive improvement. Also surprisingly Spotify and the BBC player were improved. Quite strange when you consider the DAC converts it to analogue only to covert it back into digital ( in my system ) to reach the speakers to be converted back again.
Another bonus was the Director has had a significant price reduction before the next version is released. I noticed Martins Hifi and other sources still have them at the reduced price. With my system this was a worthwhile upgrade, I think it would also improve CD output for those who cannot afford a top grade player.
Hope this help for anyone considering this direction.

So were you running Mac Mini optical out into the G68 before?

And are you now running Mac Mini optical out to Director, then analogue into the G68?

Intrigued...

Ideally, you would connect a Mac Mini to Director via USB.

The idea was to free up optical ins. I only have 2 on my G68J. So it's USB out from mini Mac to digital in on the G68.
