Sorry if this seems to be an obvious question but when you downloaded from the 2L test bench you did download MQA files and not another resolution--there are several as you can see.

I think so- the files themselves- here's an example file name:
2L-038_01_stereo_DXD_FLAC.mqa.FLAC
Studio System: UltraDAC, Analog Speakers, QNAP IS-453S Pro Theater: Trinnov, 8kSPE, 4 5.2kSE, 7.2HCSE, Analog subs, DSP8000SEs Roon (running headless on QNAP)

That looks right. How are your MD600 and 818 connected to your network? Is there anything between them other than an unmanaged switch?

If MRH is NO the 818 will only output 88 or 96 (2X) over the SPDIF coax output, and then it limits SpeakerLink to the same thing. Probably can't do two different digital outputs at the same time. So set MHR to YES, as people have pointed out.

I do have MHR on, but since I'm going analog out (no speakerlink, no coax dig out) I didn't think that parameter came into play.
I'm going to get the firmware from the dealer and try reinstalling. Something just seems off, particularly since I'm not getting 192 either.

Are both the MD600 and 818 going into the switch and then a connection from the switch to the router?

Who did your upgrade?
Did the unit get a firmware upgrade?
What do you see if you cycle through the display of the 818?

2 different switches. Router and MD600 in one switch, 818v3 in another switch and then into other switch.

I would re-download the 2L sampler, just in case.

Something just seems off, particularly since I'm not getting 192 either. For non-MQA you will not get 192k via Sooloos and ID41 - this will be 96k max as the Sooloos source down samples to 96k before sending to the ID41. The 818v3 is capable of 192 direct via the USB input (and SPDIF as well I believe). First sort your MQA issue and, as suggested above, let us know what you see when you toggle thought the 818v3 display using the display key on the remote. John
