Hey everyone,

I need some help. Please can you post (or email me) pictures of any *lacquered* (i.e. not wood) DSP5200/7200/8000 variant (.1/.2/SE) which is working well in a "natural" (plants, wooden floors, wooden furniture, natural colours) environment.

Thanks!
Joel

Hi Joel,

If you want to PM me an email contact I can send some examples of silver 5200s when I get back from the hockey run.

Best wishes.

I'll try again, but I'll split the photos over 2 emails.

Came here to say I support this thread. Currently making a case with the powers that be for new speakers. DSPs are on the short list. Not too sure about white or black though.

Exactly! Am considering all of black, graphite, silver, and custom Select colours.

My wife and I were originally going to go for Silver, (worried that black might show every speck of dust and previous G series analogue system was silver). In the end we both plumpt for the black and never regretted it. Family and friends might query the size, (all non hi-fi and think anything bigger than a shoe box is large), but never the colour. The black to my mind if anything "looks smaller" and the contrasting clamp rings have more visual impact.

It's hard to blend two speakers the size of an 8 year old child (8000s are out of the question for me) into your interior. I'm leaning toward Graphite as a middle ground. Kind of like cmr600's previous setup

The select colo(u)rs are intriguing but it seems difficult to choose a timeless look.

Are custom colors available for the grill cloth too?

I do wish that they had kept the wood options as found on the earlier legacy 5200's.

The graphite is gorgeous though!

Kind regards
David
