Whilst speaking to Meridian just now, they mentioned that the first MQA tracks have been released! 2L Music Store Apparently even without MQA software it is an improvement on CD sound quality. 2016 should be an interesting year! Rob

MQA Ltd have now issued full public release specification decoding libraries to their partners, which as you know include Meridian Audio.
The Meridian Engineering team is currently working on integrating these libraries into there software for testing in advance of full production release in the New Year.
This new software will supersede the current software in your MQA compatible product and will be required to enable the decode of the official MQA content soon to be publicly released.

Not sure I'll be buying many albums at £22.30 though. I thought the point of MQA was to reduce bandwidth as much as deliver quality.

A high price but consistent with their other pricing it seems. I will wait for some music I would listen to anyway.
Question, How does the 'better than CD sound' of an un decoded MQA file sound compared to a 24/96 file?

MQA in Original Resolution Any interesting way to describe the format ... I'd want to know what the original resolution was. The highest listed for that album is 352.8 kHz / 24bit but I'd not want to make any assumptions based on that. Regards, Carl EDIT Just saw this towards the bottom of the page, which is quite clear. We are working with 2L as they have started to release content, but the process isn’t final. They are still loading content on their store and updating their pricing, so we’d suggest people don’t buy just yet and hold off until 2L release messages to advise content is ready to buy. We expect this to be soon after Christmas. We’d recommend people follow the MQA and 2L Facebook pages for information updates.

Why is the MQA option so much more cheaper than the 352kHz FLAC File? What with MQA being a new technology promising the pinnacle of modern audio?
I'm not complaining though 😊

The MQA price has reduced to £16.00 GBP and moved to the top of the list, perhaps they read this thread.
