Meridian have just released a new version of Meridian Sooloos Configuration program for PC
Version 28 features the following new enhancements:

* Provides the ability to turn on or off the Sooloos Core in the QNAPplugin.

* Provides ability to turn on or off the Sooloos Storage in the QNAP plugin.

* Finds and shows information for a PC running TouchPC

* Shows and allows adjustment of some MS200, MS600 and ID41 settings.

* Displays Version and Build number of all Sooloos Devices.

* Adds support for updating Sooloos endpoint firmware without the need for a Sooloos Core. Includes build 164. On discovery of an audio endpoint (MS200, MS600, ID40, ID41), the Sooloos Configuration tool will automatically check for the latest version and update to if necessary.

You can download from the Meridian Website, or the this link Meridian Sooloos Configuration Program Version 28.

Many of the enhancements seem to address a few issues recently aired on this forum.

I'm sure some still won't be happy with lack of OSX support, but there are always work arounds to that problem.

I can confirm that my MS200 updated from 163 to 164 upon launching the configuration program - no Sooloos core present.

When I launch the executable, it's not seeing any devices, even within my Roon/Sooloos subnet. The Sooloos config page (via IP) has no trouble finding the devices.

Any advice/guidance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Is the PC you running it from connected via WiFi?
If so try switching WiFi off and connected with RJ45.

(I'm thinking about the usual situation with some WiFi routers blocking / limiting broadcast packets.)

Regards,
Carl

Thanks, but unfortunately this is happening while wired (the PC, not me).

It's got to be specific to my config. I just need to dig in this weekend.

Endpoint updates with no Sooloos core is really excellent news. Thank you M, and thank you Rick for passing on the good news.

Cheers

Most excellent news – much appreciated.

I dusted off my Parallels / Windows 7 VM and updated Sooloos Configure and off it went. One word of warning: upon clicking the MS600 in the window, it immediately started updating – no warning (do not turn off), no progress bar – just showing the MS600 in 'boot mode', the indicator lights on the MS600 itself lighting up like a christmas tree.

After a few minutes, it showed firmware version 164 – and it's happily streaming Roon now.

Hi again Akimo,

I'm at home now and just fired up v28 and it's finding my devices, so yes it must be something with your home setup. Have 'fun' trouble shooting.

Regards,
Carl
