before I talk to Meridian, has anyone else seen this Crowe movie on a 561M using the DTS soundtrack? The first 20 seconds or so of the movie drops out and then plays fine for the rest of the film. This is not the case with the DD soundtrack.

cheers

Chris

Chris,

I can only limit my comments to watching the DTS disc on a 598DP/568.2MM and it was fine!

I have the sme problem with the DTS track on my R2 single disc copy of Master & Commander. I'm running a 568.1 but have tested the disc on 2 other processors with the same problem. I'm currently questioning the issue with the supplier (Sendit.com). I suspect this is a batch problem.

stevec, is that you on avforums?

so it sounds like a dodgy batch then? i have had two copies from HMV now, both exhibit the same problem.

Chris,

Yes it's me on the AVforums also. I got my copy from Sendit.com. Contacted them today and they are sending me a replacement. If that one exhibits the same fault, I think I'll get a refund and get the R1 or R4 version instead.

Cheers,

Steve
