Same problem, randomly close.Surface pro3 win10 64bit, MS config 3573.
HT: Audiocom LX800CE, MP-60,HOLO MAY*2 Analogue speaker(LRC), DSP5200SL (side), DSP7200SE (rear),AntimodeX4,JTR Cap4000ULF*2,Christie HD8C,GIK Bass Traps.

If you're a member of the Insider program, this should be fixed in the latest flight that just went out today: Windows 10 build 10576 I'm not sure when the update for non-insiders is due to go out, but if you are signed up for flighting and still have issues after installing this build please PM me. I'll re-install W10 tonight and report back as I was one of the first to highlight the issue ... and yes I have a touch laptop (Lenovo Yoga).

"upgraded" from 8.1 again, this should have loaded the November release, but checked for updates anyway - 2 small patches installed.
No improvement in MConfig behaviour - classic is to delete a speaker and the application closes - no error messages. This behaviour exhibits itself
So back to 8.1 for now. It may just be that we i.e. Europe haven't got the November release yet, unfortunately the about screen is not helpful and just says Windows 10 Home - no version or build numbers.

@NJR Control Panel > System and Security > System > Help > About Windows "Current" version of Windows10Pro is Build 10240 with the November update being Build 10586. And to confirm, no, I haven't been able to get it or force it yet (through Windows Update) either, although there are instructions here if you're very keen....

Not for me.
Control Panel > System and Security > System or Settings > About both just say Windows 10 Home.
And just seeing your update would imply that trying earlier was being too keen.

The November update was available this morning - note this is not a few patches it is in effect a "replacement" for the existing Windows 10 installation - 2GB+ in size.
I can confirm that MConfig is now stable, the actions that caused it to close under the prior release of W10 now work as designed.
Thank you to those that identified the issue and got it resolved by Microsoft.

Just for (general) information, my Desktop PC has just received the "November update" - 17th Nov @ 1200 CET - but my (UK registered) Surface 3 Pro still hasn't, so the staggered roll-out is still ongoing.
