I figured it out... simple just reboot and it seems to fix itself... dah!

I finally checked the track count:

Sooloos = 12725

Roon = 12621

Difference 121 so about 12 albums worth.

Look like I will have to go searching for the difference. This could be along slog.

You can do an export to excel from Roon and for Sooloos run Duncan's Sooloos interrorgator app that is available free on the streaming forum of HH.

The difference could be a simple as how Roon clumps 2CD sets into one album whereas Sooloos always counts them as 2 albums.

Just focus on albums with more than one disc and see if this number helps reconcile the difference.

Or tracks in albums marked as duplicates (as we're talking about track count here).

Thanks for help so far. But issue still oddly unresolved.

Sooloos

Disc = 1027
Tracks = 12724

Roon

Disc = 938
Tracks = 12642

Difference after finding only one missing album (10cc) = 82 ( I also fixed some tracks that weren't put into albums, but were orphaned). So about 8 Albums missing. I have many more than 8 multidisc albums. I couldn't figure out how to focus on albums with more than one disc.

Some other stats from Roon:

Unidentified = 49 (my Sooloos data was imported properly, so it all looks good)
Zero corrupt/dupes/hidden

I did notice in Roon under Inspector Disc and Track count, but was unable to figure out what they are counting.

At this point I'm a bit stumped as to why the difference. However, the Roon database looks complete from an album perspective. I'd hate to go through each individual track on an Excel Spreadsheet! Wow!

Any thoughts are greatly encouraged.

I've bought a 1 year subscription (OK rented) but it's just SO darned good! However, I'm going to wait to buy the Lifetime because of hardware issues. The software is clearly going to only get better, it's already very good. It's hardware decisions that seem most difficult. I hate interacting on a non-touchscreen. That was one of the reasons I bought Sooloos to begin with.

At the moment I'm lucky enough to use both Roon and Sooloos.

I use a 23-inch touchscreen with Roon and it's an excellent experience.

Well!

I've gone track by track comparing Sooloos to Roon. I found about half the errors. An album that didn't export, and just odd tracks here in a there. Most multiple (though not all) missing tracks per album

I also deleted one duplicate album in Sooloos. They were listed as slightly different artists, same title, but didn't list as duplicates.

At this point track totals are:

Sooloos = 12712

Roon = 12673

Difference = 39

I have absolutely no idea why the difference. At this point having spent HOURS, I'm not looking again for awhile. Still thoughts are welcome.

One day you will think of a track, and it's not there. This just happened to me with a Jacob Diest EP. No big deal, but now I know I will find it.

Enjoy the Music, Chris smile

It's an anti piracy measure.

You have to keep your original media as a backup and not sell it on once ripped.

I'm learning to enjoy the music again. Also, trying to forget what's missing... of course that's easier since I have no idea what's missing!

Your all correct, it's just time to move on and some point I'll see my mistake.

Thanks all!

Brian
