I believe like the G98, the HDMI socket connections can be rather fragile. I agree it would be wise to try a different display device but if that doesn't work, it could be a back to base job. Do you have any idea how much a job like this would cost?

Settings are :
Video Setup - Scaler Setup - Scaler Mode : DeInt - Gamma correction : 1.0 - sharpness : off - display aspect : 16x9 - component output : SD
HDMI Setup - HDMI Switch : On (As I have a 421) - Colour Space : YCbCr
HDMI Information shows me : - PAL : 1920x1080P - NTSC : 1920x1080P - YCbCr : Yes - HDMI : Yes - Audio : No
Do you know the system menu (96 menu) ? There is an option there to disable the EDID checking you could try that.

Thanks for the settings Paul. Will give them a try. Not familiar with the 96 menu. Is that accessed through a PC or can it be done on the player remote?
Regards

I have come to the conclusion that the fault is with the HDMI port. I have decided to sell it as is. Thanks to everyone for the advice.
