The display on my F80 no longer shows the time. The clock stopped and when we tried to set the correct time it no longer appeared on the display and it remains blank.

The rest of the menu and information on the display works perfectly and the F80 functions correctly.

I have tried to reset it and disconnected and reconnected the power to no avail.

Anybody got any ideas?

Regards,
Fred

Is there an internal battery?

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Yes Chris that was my first thought, but after looking at the technical notes on the wiki I realised that because of the work involved in taking the F80 apart it would be unlikely.

I had already read the instructions and knew that the display could be blanked but I could not cycle through the options using the button indicated in the manual or on the remote control.

Eventually I reset the F80 but I was still unable to cycle through the settings for the display. I was on the verge of giving up when I pressed the display button on the remote and for some reason it worked, all’s well that ends well.

Regards,
Fred

Have you pressed the display key when it is in standby?

Mark, I had given up trying to solve the problem and switched the unit off, i.e. into standby. I picked up the remote control aiming to place it next to the F89 where it usually resides and on the off chance pressed the display button and it worked. I was able to cycle through the options for the clock. Does this mean that this is only possible when the unit is in standby?

Regards,
Fred
