Hi everyone,

I have a ECM40UT31 power board, replace the old PSU.
The install is finished.
I've checked the new PSU outputs are +12.44/-12.20 /5.03v
when I set the 5.0v ouput up to 5.2v the +12.44 goes up to +12.80v. Is +12.8v output too high?

The Wiki says:
Quote
Plug it back and power-up to test it. The new PSU comes pre-set at 5.0V and Meridian recommend re-setting this to 5.2V, although this doesn't seems critical. Apparently, the adjustment to 5.2V is only possible with the XP power supply. If you have a UMEC power supply - as most M processors older than 2 1/2 years - there is no adjustment.

I doubt it. That's only a few percent out of perfect-spec. When I did mine, it was a bit high as well.

I think it was St Edd who noted a couple of months ago that G series should be 5.0V, it was only the 800 series which needed 5.2V?

I have changed three G-Series power supplies now (not counting the ones I swapped back again after adjusting them). I always set them to around 5.2 to 5.4 V otherwise they show some issues like switching themselves off.

It's not difficult just be careful that all the output pins are the correct orientation.

Or perhaps it was me here?

Agree with Neil, 5.2 makes a difference.

It was indeed!

Hi VirusKiller,

Then I try to set 5.1V, but the +12V output goes up, do I not need to consider the influence caused by it?

In my estimation, if set to 5.1V the +12V will be up to +12.62V

Is the output up to +12.62V is too high?

I really don't know Jack - I'd contact Meridian support on this one.
