I think what happened in my case is that when I imported albums from Tidal they were organized by last name of the artist while the CDs I burned and imported were organized by first name of artist. I wonder if there is a way to fix that so both the ripped CDs and those imported from Tidal are organized in the same way.

Sad to report that I tried the exact same actions on my MacBook Pro Mid 2009 which has same OSX (Yosemite) but the Control:Mac installer hangs at the "Launching Control:Mac please wait" stage.

I think I have found out the issue.
I think Control:Mac needs to be installed on an account with 'Admin Rights' enabled.

Initially I was trying to install it on an account without admin rights following the procedure previously reported and giving permissions when requested. This was when I had the hang ups.

I tried installing on my admin account using the same procedure and was successful.

After this I tried on a non admin account and was successful
So it seems that installing on an admin account clears the path for non admin accounts.

Rick of Audio Images who helped resolve the problem suggested Meridian could include the need for an Admin Account in the banner
"Enhanced feature are available when you run Control:Mac"
To read
"Enhanced features are available when you install Control:Mac with Admin Rights enabled".

Well, my system now refuses to find Control:Mac.

All seemed to be going well, I installed the update and input my Tidal login from Sooloos in Safari. Core Control on the iPad recognised the new setup and plays my library and my Tidal library as does the Control:Web.

Debug is also working. However Control:Mac just sits with a spinning wheel on an empty window saying

looking for Sooloos
. I've rebooted the MC200 Core and I've restarted the router that the Meridian kit is wired to.

If I try to re-install Control:Mac I get
Quote
unable to find Sooloos System Core
Any ideas?

As per Tony and a similar problem, are you running as admin on the Mac?

I've had a wireless connection confuse it. For some reason connecting via a wired cable from another machine allowed it to work over wireless again...

Is it possible that your Core IP address has changed?

If so, shutdown Control:Mac, kill the "SooloosHelper" process (using the Activity Monitor tool), then fire up Control:Mac again. But simply rebooting your Mac might do it.

Geoff,

I deleted everything to do with Control:Mac from my MacBook, cancelled firewall, had admin permission and then tried to install again via Control:Web on a new user account. After that I was able to install on my own user account.

I did this because I think there is something residual to the previous installation which prevents installing the later version although this is supposition as I know very little about computers.
