There's some confusion over the number of people looking to come to this event. We're concerned that although "+1" is likely to mean that just the poster wants to come, it could mean that the poster plus one are going to attend. I was really impressed on how the drum section was rendered on the Dave Brubeck demo track. As close to having the feeling someone was playing live in the room as I've ever experienced.
Inversely, the system was so revealing that it made the next studio tracks sound exactly like it is. More processed, layered, manipulated - and to my ears less exciting. But that I believe is due to the recording itself, not the system.
Next time, I would love to listen to a recent MQA digital master of a simple acoustic binaural recording. Just two microphones, well positioned in a room with good acoustic, no amplification, no processing, straight to a high definition digital recorder.
