As an observation, the one zone I always had issues with (the only Homeplug I had in the Sooloos chain) is now a lot more stable. Previously it used to drop off the Control the whole time, usually after a day or so.

Fingers crossed it's now been visible for over four days with no reboot required.

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

I have been doing some imports and am getting 99% positive album ID. Some of it is obscure too. No idea if the database has been tweaked or the album ID engine changed. Seems improved nontheless.

Anyone else finding this ?

Which would correlate with this post - looks like a different meta lookup service is being used.

my latest imports, even of obscure (<=2 hits on AccurateRip) CD's, have all been identified upon import.

How about the Cover Art? Always available?

If you are right about the perceived change this is very good news for C10/C15 rippers.

Hector,

I don't use C10 for ripping. I always use dBpoweramp (now on Mac) for all my ripping to FLAC, then importing using Control:Mac.

The Cover art has improved over the years that Sooloos import finds. Luckily I am not blacklisted by the artwork website I refuse to name so I usually download a HQ cover image to put in the album directory before import.

Back on topic ( smile ) just this morning my Control:10/Control:Mac reported that my music was unavailable, I rebooted my MD600 and the Control:10 happily reported 0 albums available. Gulp! Another reboot and music is flowing through the LAN again.

Glad I have a ZFS RAIDz3 backup up to date, so I can restore if necessary.

Anecdotally, I'd say that metadata lookup has improved in the last few weeks. I have not updated to 2.435 yet.

No issues so far.

The only difference I have found is that now in the storage tab in Control:PC, it now lists TIDAL. It's status is offline.

TIDAL is not listed in the Account tab.

I haven't set-up an account so maybe that's the reason why... Would be good to set-up/create via the same interface.

This could be embarrassing... blush

In Control:PC, is the little box bottom right that provides a search engine new?

Type in your search argument, click on any result and get the Details/Queue/Play dialogue - very useful cool

Hi Gianni

That's been there since about 2010 when I first started looking at the Sooloos systems... and it's available in CPC, CMac and the CWeb versions... it's also there in the Core Control iPad app, but sometimes the Search results are slightly different when using that.

I find it handy to just enter enough characters of an Artist, Album or Track Name to filter down my library into a more manageable list... and I usually find it faster than going thru My Library - Artists etc., etc... especially if using CWeb on a Phone Browser.

By enough characters, I mean enough to make the search useful... sometimes this can be as little as 3 characters e.g. "Moz" is usually sufficient to filter results to anything containing Mozart... [but I will say that searching in this Dialog box does NOT search based on the Composer field]... reasonably sure the Search is limited to content of Artist, Album and Track Names.

All in all, I find it a useful way to quickly find something I'm looking for... and is usually quicker than Browsing.

Cheers

I also run a zone over a TPLink powerline adapter which prior to v2.435 used to drop out frequently. I thought it might be due to the TPLink going into power save mode when there was no traffic over it causing Sooloos to drop the zone. Anyway, I just got used to switching the zone on only when I wanted to use it as it never dropped out when playing music.

On reading your post I decided to try keeping it powered on full time. I'm happy to confirm your observation - the zone has been up now for over three days and I'm very pleased it works just as it should now.
