OK the new firmware is installed, I typed it and at least the bad EEPROM and bad software remarks are gone. I've uploaded a msf file (MSR+, software verion 2.5 and higher) with a simple setup of a CD player only and two 18 bit DSPs.
Unfortunately I do not get any sound out of the machine. I tried a few settings but to no avail. I have not performed any calibrations so might it be all of the gains are set too low ? (I haven't set that up in the MSF file.)
So any help to built a proper MSF file would be much appreciated.

Have you restricted the output to 1 times sample rate 48K max? Just a thought. Chris
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

When you select in the Legacy installer 'Large DSP' the high speed output option is unchecked and greyed out. Is that what you mean by restricting the output to 48K ?
