I am interested in wrapping a pair of 7200's in leather. I have seen pics of 3200's and obviously the M80 which both look really good in leather. Has anyone done this and/or know who Meridian uses for this?

I would think your best option is to go to a custom coach works or just an upholstery that does work with leather. Being in SoCal, there are dozens of options. Wrapping a automotive dashboard, seats or couch isn't all the different. Biggest challenge will be deciding how you want them done. One piece or multiple pieces stitched together, then the choice of stitching options. Then finding suitable hides that match in color and consistency.

I think I would want three pieces per speaker, with deviated stitching on the left and right of the front.

Should look great!

Thanks Yetis. That's a great idea. I have a favorite leather chair I was thinking of matching and like the idea of the deviated stitching. The shape of the 7200's is well suited to a leather wrap, in that you could almost pre-fab something that pulls right over them.

Please post some images of them when you get them done.

Being in Malibu, you might consider shops which work on Boat interiors. They are expert at curved shapes. I used one for a bed headboard and price was very reasonable.

Besides leather, vinyl wrap will also come out good-esp if you want to customize the speaker color for cheap.

I definitely will.
