Edit- Lisiting/Pics HERE

It is good to be back to my apartment after a long holiday break! After shuffling gear (as usual cry)

I am planning to sell my piano black DSP5200 PAIR with serial 3xx so it can be upgraded to SE.

I will update with pics later tomorrow- I would rate 7/10 (there are scuff marks at bottom rear of one speaker so you do not notice anything up front or unless you take look at ports).

PM me if you need further info.

Regards,
Kishore

I was under the impression (maybe I was misinformed) that only the SpeakerLink version of the DSP5200 could be upgraded to the SE version.

From what I see in your pictures, your speakers seem to be a "Legacy" version and not a SpeakerLink version because I do not see the RJ45 connector.

Again, maybe I'm wrong... Good luck with the sale.

It was only very early 5k2s that couldn't be upgraded.

Since these are 300XXXX they will be fine.

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

Jet/others you can refer to this 25th Anniversary Special Edition Loudspeaker Upgrades which clearly implies my 5200s are eligible to become SEs smile.

The cheapest way to get to SE upgraded speaker is to buy a relevant non-SL speaker smile

Thank you for the information, it's good to know for future reference.

One must presume that if you upgrade to the SE, the RJ45 jack connector comes along with it since the back panel gets changed.

You are correct in your understanding.

That presumption is correct. All legacy (SPDIF) speakers that are eligible will essentially become SpeakerLink DSP's when upgraded to SE.

Although they do not get the clamp rings it does seem to be quite an upgrade vs cost new for the same model. 8K's especially.
