OK. I have been wandering around the interface and, so far, have found it to be very un-intuitive. It's all centered around the user knowing what they want to hear, finding it through searches, and building favorites lists from the searches. The only other option seems to be to choose from their recommendations...

Tidal seems the way to go given that it may well be the first opportunity we have to listen to MQA files. I've been testing it out and am a bit disappointed in the jazz selection-only 90 albums! That will have to improve or I will be reluctant to pay $20 a month.
That's surprising, I have found every single jazz artist/album I've looked for. I'm extremely satisfied, to the point I'm looking to sell my Sooloos kit and toying with the idea of going 100% Tidal.

I can't comment on the "intuitive" nature of the interface as that is so personal but I'm slowly warming to its ways of introducing new music via curated playlists, similar artist suggestions and especially artist centred radio.
It still falls a little behind Spotify in that it doesn't appear to allow user created playlists to be published and shared and creating playlists could be improved - by saving a current play list for example.

That's nice that you found everything you were looking for but did you find a way to find things you weren't looking for? Like browsing the entire jazz catalog?

Geoff, Maybe it's just me but I find it odd that you cannot just have a long wander through everything in their catalog. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I still remember going to the store, browsing through the CDs, and finding something unexpected.

Jack,
Browsing is one of the pleasures of selecting music, surely!
Just like in the all days when we purchased albums from the record store, they do not have everything, no one does, but they do have a vast selection of practically every genre, composer, musician to keep you satisfied... only if you are a music student and need access to every single recording of x composer should you feel lacking. To me it's more than enough.
