The G1’s are incredible, you must be enjoying that setup (and agreed not much SAM can do there).
If I had a bigger room they would be on a very short list, but the monitor/sub approach is best for my smaller multipurpose room.
As far as vinyl and the minidsp, I do have a Prism Orpheus that I was using for my previous Meridian setup to digitize (the line amps and A/D are very nice) but that requires a computer in the loop and kind of defeats the purpose of why I switched to Devialet to begin with (simple one box approach).
I also find SAM pretty beneficial with my Raidho’s and the Devialet phono stage superior to the Prism. So looks like there isn’t really a solution without compromise.
I was kind of hoping I could just insert room correction on the analog line out to the subs and leave everything else upstream intact. On music that doesn't go low enough into the subs to hit my room modes, I am 100% happy with my system as is.

you can easily add DRC on the analog line out to subs, minidsp or dspeaker etc I have heard SAM on raidho c 1.1's .. it worked well
Roon/Tidal, SBT, Trinnov ST2 , Twin Devialet D premiers, Vivid Audio Giya G1 Spirits, dedicated and treated room. Meridian gear: 568.2mm and DSP5000's acting as TV speakers.
